Maria Pia De Vito's new project and new album for Parco Della Musica Records features a brand new quintet. After "A still volcano Life", from 2022 focused on female creativity with Rita Marcotulli and Luca Aquino, this work, based on original compositions by De Vito and Bortone, collective compositions and reinterpretations of songs from various sources, from jazz by Tony Williams, Ornette Coleman to the songwriting of Elvis Costello and Kate Bush, to elements of English and American and American of k, proposes a reflection on the female condition and on the survival strategies that women have been adopting for centuries now. The inspiration for the lyrics comes from authors such as Virginia Woolf, Rebecca Solnit, Margaret Atwood. A project with a training of unique and innovative talents.
