Co-written and starring award-winning Tim Minchin (Matilda the Musical), this heart-warming comedy drama is set against the backdrop of the stunning Australian outback and the steamy tropics of North Queensland. In Season One, Lucky Flynn (Minchin) embarks on a road trip across Australia to visit his dying, estranged mother. Packing nothing but an upright piano, his plans are soon turned upside down when his path collides with runaway teenager Meg (Milly Alcock, House of the Dragon). As they race across the Nullarbor Plain, an unlikely friendship is forged and we slowly learn what each is running away from. Three years on, in Season Two, Lucky is a successful musician when 17-year-old Meg walks back into his life and all but orders him to take her to North Queensland in search of her long-lost mum. Against all his instincts, Lucky agrees and we accompany the pair to the rainforest. However, the clock is ticking, and they have just a week to find Meg's mum because the consequences of Lucky not returning home in time are too big to think about.
