The fifth series sees Marsha Thomason reprise her role as Morecambe CID's Family Liaison Office DS Jenn Townsend. When a university student is found killed, Morecambe's MIU team are assigned the case and Jenn must navigate the victim's still-warring divorced parents. Suffering from a family loss of her own, Jenn must push aside her own grief to support the bereaved family.
