Ani-May! The Best Crunchyroll Anime Limited & Collector’s Editions For Your Shelf

11 May, 2026

If your watchlist (and/or shelf) needs a refresh, Rarewaves and Crunchyroll join forces for Ani-May! With a mix of blockbuster hits, critically acclaimed favourites and some cult gems, it’s a great chance to dive into some of anime’s biggest hits, or to finally own them as either slick Blu-ray editions or mind-blowing limited collections!

Let’s dive into some of the standout series and specific releases worth checking out:

Jujutsu Kaisen

Few modern anime hit as hard as Jujutsu Kaisen. By MAPPA studios (Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga), it is arguably the most technically accomplished TV anime of the past several years, with its scale and fluid action making it genuinely cinematic in its ambition. Not to mention that the sound design absolutely earns lossless audio on a good system!

Following Yuji Itadori’s journey into the world of curses and sorcery, the series blends epic action with dark themes and deep character arcs. The Hidden Inventory / Premature Death arc release dives into the pasts of its mortal enemies and sets the stage for major events later in the story. The Limited Edition includes an 84-page art book, 5 art cards, 8 character portrait stickers, 2 character sticker sheets, keyring and more!

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End

Taking a more reflective approach to fantasy, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is the rare anime that makes you want to pause mid-episode and just sit with a single frame. Madhouse's adaptation is visually extraordinary, with watercolour-influenced backgrounds, a beautifully restrained colour palette, and a realism noticeable especially in regards to lighting in natural environments. It was made to be watched on the best screen you own… and that’s where we can help! (wink wink).

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End explores what happens after the hero’s journey ends. It’s a series that rewards patience with rich world-building and emotional storytelling. Season 1 is split across Part 1 and Part 2 releases- with the Limited Edition for Part 2 massive and adorned with an art book, art cards, acrylic standee, luggage Tag, 7 sticker sheets, shikishisthis and all enclosed in a suitcase gift box! Standard editions on both Blu-ray and standard DVD are also available.

Spy x Family

Spy x Family continues to charm audiences with its mix of espionage, comedy, and heartfelt family moments. It is produced jointly by Wit Studio (Ranking of Kings) and CloverWorks, and the result is bright, precise and exceptionally well designed. It is also one of those titles that the whole household will actually watch with you, which makes the case for a physical purchase particularly easy.

The Season 2 Limited Edition Blu-ray includes an Art Book, Art Cards, Acrylic Standee and Pin Set. The Code: White film gets the premium treatment as well with a Limited Collector’s Edition. Whether you’re in it for the action or the wholesome chaos of the Forger family, these releases are packed with personality and make great display pieces as well as easy rewatches.

Solo Leveling

One of the most talked-about recent anime adaptations, Solo Leveling follows Sung Jin-Woo’s rise from the weakest hunter to an overwhelming force. Adapted by A-1 Pictures (Sword Art Online, 86), the series leans heavily into scale and atmosphere, with glowing spell effects, monstrous creature design and dramatic lighting giving almost every major encounter the feel of a season finale. There’s a certain weight and polish to the action that makes it particularly satisfying on Blu-ray, especially during the series’ larger dungeon battles!

Season 1’s Blu-ray includes a bunch of on-disc special features including documentaries, promo videos and character collections, while Season 2 – Arise from the Shadow gets a Limited Edition packed with an art book and sticker sheet. The series has quickly become one of anime’s biggest modern crossover hits, and these releases feel like a solid way to experience (or revisit) the phenomenon at full quality.

Chainsaw Man

Bold, chaotic, and completely ridiculous in the best way, Chainsaw Man stands out for its uniqueness (which can certainly be difficult to achieve with anime) and striking presentation. MAPPA approached the adaptation with an almost cinematic sensibility, using dynamic camera movement, film-inspired framing and surprisingly grounded lighting to give the madness a strange sense of realism. It’s stylish without feeling overproduced, balancing absurd violence with quieter moments in a way that constantly keeps you off guard (as off guard as you can be with a man literally made of chainsaws).

Season 1 is available on standard Blu-ray (and DVD), offering a clean way to experience Denji’s brutal, darkly funny journey through a world of devils. Between the opening themes, experimental sequences and some of the wildest action scenes in recent anime, it’s a series that absolutely benefits from a high-quality physical release!

My Hero Academia

A cornerstone of modern shonen (yeah, I know ball), the long-running My Hero Academia continues to deliver big emotional moments and superhero spectacle. Studio Bones (Fullmetal Alchemist) has consistently managed to give the series a huge sense of scale, particularly during its major battles, where the combination of vibrant colours, animation and sweeping orchestral music makes it feel closer to a blockbuster superhero film than a weekly TV anime. Even after multiple seasons, it still knows how to land a massive emotional payoff when it matters.

The Ani-May selection includes feature films like You’re Next and World Heroes’ Mission, both available as Limited Edition Steelbook Blu-rays as well as standard releases. The steelbooks are ideal for fans who want something a little more collectible- the World Heroes' Mission one in particular is a stunner visually!

Whether you’re into intense battles, thoughtful fantasy, or something in between, Rarewaves’ Ani-May sale has plenty to explore. With a mix of standard editions and more premium collector releases, it’s a great opportunity to pick up something new- or upgrade your favourites!
