Aladin Tapes

Previously lost concert recording from 1980 has unexpectedly resurfaced: Aladin Tapes as double LP For fans of the legendary band KRAAN, this is nothing short of a small sensation: a long-lost live recording from 1980 has unexpectedly resurfaced. Captured at the iconic Bremen club "Aladin," this concert recording presents the band in one of its most exciting creative phases -- a fascinating document of the era, full of musical energy and sheer joy of playing. It is hard to believe that this concert remained undiscovered for decades -- which makes the excitement surrounding the rediscovery of the Aladin Tapes even greater. With the legendary lineup of Hellmut Hattler (bass), Peter Wolbrandt (guitar), Udo Dahmen (drums), and Ingo Bischof (keyboards), KRAAN produced numerous electrifying live recordings in 1979 and 1980, eventually immortalized on the album Tournee. But no one knew that additional recordings from this period existed -- until devoted KRAAN fans from Bremen alerted Hellmut Hattler to this remarkable find. With a running time of 80 minutes and a total of 13 tracks, Aladin Tapes not only offers riveting interpretations from that era but also previously unknown pieces such as "She's Gone" and "Berg und Tal." These tracks provide a unique glimpse into the band's onstage experimentation and musical power. The recordings have been lovingly restored with great attention to detail, bringing KRAAN's dynamic live atmosphere vividly to life. The musicians' joy in performing is evident in every note -- a truly immersive listening experience that captures the energy and magic of a KRAAN concert.
